1. Eligibility: Gator Hack V is open to currently enrolled University of Florida students (undergraduate and graduate), all majors and skill levels. Participants must be at least 18 years old or have a signed guardian waiver.

2. Teams: Teams may have up to 5 members. You may register solo and form a team at the event.

3. Fresh code: All project code must be written during the hacking period (Friday, Oct 23, 5:00 PM through Sunday, Oct 25, 5:00 PM ET). Open-source libraries, frameworks, and public APIs are allowed, but no pre-written project code.

4. Ownership: Teams retain ownership of what they build.

5. Submissions: Projects must be submitted through Devpost by the deadline. One project per team.

6. Judging: Round one is judged by a panel of UF professors and PhD students, who select 10 finalists based on impact, technicality, design, and presentation. On Monday, October 26, finalists present live on stage at the Reitz Union, where winners are selected. Judges' decisions are final.

7. Code of Conduct: All participants must follow the MLH Code of Conduct: https://mlh.io/code-of-conduct. Be kind, be inclusive, and help make the event welcoming for everyone. Violations may result in disqualification and removal from the event.

8. Changes: Organizers may adjust the schedule, prizes, or these rules if needed; changes will be announced on Discord and Devpost.
